It is housed in a pencil like tube. I actually thought it was a automatic/retractable jumbo pencil but prepare yourself as you need to sharpen this. The bottom part of the lip is the shade indicator.

`It has a velvety feeling upon application and dries to really matte finish which I like

`It is transferproof, smudgeproof, waterproof and kissproof

`Has a nice color payoff. So true to its color

`Doesn't leave stains

`Longevity: Lasts until you eat oily food

Cons:

`Has a grainy result

`It doesn't have a smooth application as it tugs on the lips

`It sets on the lines

`Color is not consistent on the lips
